"Go for Throttle Up"

This is the first in a series of highly personal works recalling national tragedies as seen through the eyes and emotions of children.
"Paradise Lost is my commentary on the loss of innocence we all experience at some stage in our lives. For many of my friends and myself, the moment depicted in 'Go for Throttle Up' marked just such an occasion, when we realized that even our heroes could disappear in front of our very eyes. Creating this piece brought to the surface emotions I haven't felt since that day. I consider it a tribute to the bravery of the Shuttle Challenger's crew and to the enduring spirit of the US space program." -Trevor Chowning
